Innovation management as an important subject in the field of research has a strategic concept that is used in examining and promoting innovative processes and generating new ideas in organizations. The main goal of innovation management includes producing innovative ideas, improving the quality of products and services, increasing their impact in science and industry, and expanding research and development units. Therefore, it can be seen that innovation management in research needs strategies that can promote innovation. These strategies include creating a culture of innovation, creating systems and processes appropriate to organizational goals, encouraging cooperation and interaction, and establishing relationships with industry and scientific communities. In the era of digital transformation, organizations need more innovation. Innovation drives business growth and helps organizations stay ahead of their competitors. In general, the nature of innovation is to create changes in products or services and also changes in the way of creating and supplying them. These changes are done with the aim of responding to new markets and the changing needs of customers, which require seeing links, discovering opportunities and using them. In this chapter, the basic features of innovation management in the digital age are examined.
