Abstract

Artificial intelligence has the power to improve social work in many ways in terms of empowerment. One of the key roles of artificial intelligence in social work is the ability to analyze large sets of data. Social workers often work with individuals and communities facing multiple challenges, from poverty and homelessness to mental health issues and domestic violence. Using artificial intelligence, social workers can access and analyze big data to gain insight into the causes and patterns of these problems. This chapter deals with the main applications of artificial intelligence in social innovations.
